The exhibition will showcase the paintings and drawings of Vladivoj Kotyza (b. 1943), a significant artist from Pilsen. In the late 1960s, Kotyza was among a handful of artists of his generation developing a style in Czech art known as Fantastic Realism, which followed the tradition of imaginative art. Over the decades, this solitary artist refined his work into an exceptionally precise and unique realism depicting urban and later primarily natural environments, often with a latent metaphysical dimension.
