The energy company CEZ has donated a remarkable collection of collages by Jiří Kolář to the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
The book, authored by Petr Domanický and titled The Semler Residence. A Unique Interior by Adolf Loos and Heinrich Kulka in Pilsen, is now available in a print run of 4,000 copies and in three language versions.
The book 70 / The Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen 1954–2024, featuring rich visual accompaniment and designed by the Bušek+Dientsbier studio, maps the history, achievements, and key moments of the gallery’s seventy-year journey.
The catalogue for the exhibition ‘Then I Saw a New Heaven and a New Earth …’ The Apocalypse and Art in the Czech Lands won 1st place in the 2023 Most Beautiful Czech Books competition in the Catalogue category. The expert jury praised the original artistic design by graphic designers Adéla Svobodová and Tereza Hejmová.
